Liverpool initiate discussions with Khephren Thuram

Khephren Thuram’s representatives and Liverpool have begun speaking since he is a player that several English clubs have expressed interest in.

Prior to the upcoming season, Liverpool reportedly wants Khephren Thuram to join their ranks. Due to an unreliable midfield, the Merseyside club has had trouble this season. And in the forthcoming transfer window, they hope to get two to three midfielders. Along with other teams, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the young player.

The 22-year-old has recently grown stronger and stronger. He has been in incredible shape for more than a year. And numerous people from all around Europe have paid close attention to his performances. In March, Didier Deschamps received his first-ever cap for the France senior team in recognition of his efforts.

Thuram, who rose through the ranks at AS Monaco before moving on to Nice, was outstanding in the 2022–23 campaign. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has played about 3,800 minutes in 48 matches and assisted with ten goals. His outstanding performances have Liverpool’s attention.

James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita’s contracts with the Reds expire in the summer, and the team has officially announced their departure. Liverpool needs several acquisitions since three important midfielders are expected to depart. According to sources, Alexis Mac Allister’s deal is almost complete. Additionally, Liverpool has already spoken with Thuram representatives.

But the 22-year-old defensive midfielder is wanted by a number of clubs, not only the Reds. Even Newcastle United and Tottenham are vying for his services. The two teams have been keeping an eye on him for some time and may make a move for his services this summer. Thuram’s presence will undoubtedly strengthen the Spurs team because they lack the necessary depth in the middle of the pitch.

Newcastle United has qualified for the UEFA Champions League, but in order to compete in both the UCL and Premier League, they will need to strengthen their team even more. They will undoubtedly have a great basis in the middle of the park if they sign the French international.

The 22-year-old is a target for Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham, but Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal may also be interested in signing him.
