A Cameroonian government official got mauled to death by his own dogs.

Simon Ngonja, a Cameroonian government official, died in Yaoundé, Cameroon, a few days after being mauled by his dogs.

According to TSBnews, the deceased, a senior staff member in the Prime Minister’s office, was attacked by a German Shepherd dog as he returned from a vacation on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

According to reports, the dog jumped on him when he opened the gate to his residence. He battled the dog valiantly but was unable to save himself.

A soldier shot and killed the dog in an attempt to save him.

With severe injuries and significant blood, he was transported to the hospital.

He died on Thursday, June 15, 2023, despite all efforts to rescue him.

Bella Powers, a Facebook user who also shared images of the incident, wrote, “Killed by his dog in Yaoundé… Simon NGONJA died this morning after being killed by his own ‘German Shepherd dog.

“After returning from a trip last Sunday night, he was attacked by his dog after opening his house’s gate.” He battled the dog so hard that it was a soldier who chose to shoot the dog with a rifle round. When he was taken to the hospital with extensive bleeding, the wounds proved deadly.

“He worked as an executive in the Prime Minister’s office in Yaoundé.” May his spirit rest in peace, and our hearts go out to his family.”
