Leicester City F.C. is expected to hire Manchester City assistant coach Enzo Maresca as its new manager.

The 43-year-old Italian may be named CEO as soon as Friday.

Maresca will succeed Dean Smith after reaching an agreement with Leicester and is poised to sign a three-year contract with the Foxes.

Insiders Sports learned from a trusted source, The Foxes are no longer considering alternatives, implying that the transaction is close.

His relocation to the King Power Stadium marks the conclusion of his second spell as a coach with the Manchester Club.

Leicester City are back in the Championship for the first time in ten years, following a catastrophic season that saw them finish last.

They are ranked 18th in the table with only nine Premier League victories.
