According to a Telegraph journalist, Villa are “very close” to reaching an agreement with Luton Town for Nakamba.
According to McGrath, the 29-year-old is the club’s primary priority.
Indeed, the contract to move Nakamba from Villa Park to Kenilworth Road might be concluded: “within the next 48 hours.”
In our opinion, Nakamba has been surplus to requirements at Aston Villa for some time now.
The Zimbabwe international spent the second part of last season on loan at Luton Town, where he quickly established himself as a fan favourite.
Nakamba assisted the Hatters in gaining promotion to the Premier League in the playoffs.
Prior to joining Luton Town, the 29-year-old had not appeared for Villa in 2022-23. When a Premier League club sells to another team in the same division, there is always some danger.
