Prince Harry and Meghan involved in ‘near catastrophic car chase’

Prince Harry, his wife Meghan, and her mother were involved in a “near catastrophic” car chase after being followed by paparazzi, according to his spokesperson.

“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in a number of near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers,” the spokesperson added.

The chase happened after Meghan and Harry had attended an awards ceremony in New York on Tuesday – their first public appearance since the King’s coronation.

Photos that have appeared on social media have shown Harry, Meghan, and her mom, Doria Ragland, in a taxi.

The Duchess of Sussex received a Woman of Vision award at the ceremony in New York as she encouraged women to fight for equality as she accepted the award at the Ms Foundation for Women’s annual gala.

“It’s never too late to start,” she stated at the occasion in New York. “You can be the visionary of your own life… There’s still so much work to be done.”
