JUST IN: President Tinubu in Meeting with Aliko Dangote and Bill Gates

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is meeting with Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, and Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft at the State House in Abuja.

The full details of the meeting have yet to be revealed, but it is expected that challenges of global health and development will be discussed with national and local leaders, foundation partners, grantees, scientists, and young innovators.

Aliko Dangote claimed last week that he held a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, during which arrangements for today’s meeting with Bill Gates were established.

President Tinubu promised both local and foreign businessmen in his inauguration speech on May 29 that their complaints about double taxation and other barriers to investment would be properly investigated and that he would make it easier for investors to return their hard-earned earnings and profits to their home nations.

He also promised to enact industrial measures that would boost domestic production and reduce reliance on imports.
