According to a witness, Ibrahim Hamza, the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) heard on Monday that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate for the general elections of 2023, did not triumph in Nasarawa State.

One of the witnesses in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar’s case contesting President Bola Tinubu’s victory is Hamza.

The witness, who served as the PDP’s state collation agent during the election, asserted that if the poll had been free and fair, Obi would not have won Plateau.

He asserted that he was forced to sign the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s result sheet.

“I don’t like the outcome. This outcome is not what I want the court to accept. In Nasarawa State, the Labour Party cannot come in top. It is not possible. The real outcome is here. He explained that it was with the PDP’s national collation agency.

The witness pretended to be unaware of the whereabouts of the aforementioned national collation agent when asked if he was still alive.

According to Hamza, the original copy of the result sheet he signed was altered to favour Peter Obi.

Hamza, who was the tenth witness for the petitioners (PW10), made these statements while being cross-examined by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), President Tinubu’s attorney.

Hamza testified in court that the PDP candidate complied with all criteria and requirements set forth by the constitution to be declared the election’s victor.
