Newcastle United’s £30 million transfer target decision is ‘imminent’ following the West Ham United and Arsenal deal.
A decision is set to be made on Kieran Tierney’s Arsenal future amid transfer interest from Newcastle United.
Tierney is said to be meeting with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta this week to discuss if he would stay with the club for the 2023-24 season.
Following the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City, the 26-year-old made just six Premier League starts for Arsenal last season. Tierney only started one of Arsenal’s final seven games in Zinchenko’s absence at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Tierney has been identified as a potential left-back signing for Newcastle this summer, with Arsenal demanding more than £30 million for the Scotland international.
The youngster is thought to be willing to leave Arsenal this summer in order to pursue first-team opportunities, and the Gunners may open the door to his exit as they seek to produce revenue following the club record £105 million signing of Declan Rice from West Ham United.
Tierney was signed by Arsenal Gunners for £25 million from Celtic in 2019, with the Scottish Premiership club believed to have a 15% sell-on option.
Tierney’s future at Arsenal will be resolved internally before the end of the week, according to Football Insider.
The left-back position has been identified as a critical area to strengthen this summer, with Dan Burn spending most of the 2022-23 season there despite being a more natural center-back. Matt Targett, Paul Dummett, Javier Manquillo, and Matt Ritchie, as well as starting right-back Kieran Trippier, can all play in the position.
