NDLEA Seizes 4,560kg Skunk In Lagos, Adamawa, Osun

NDLEA agents confiscated about 4,560 kilogrammes of skunk during interdiction operations in Lagos, Adamawa, and Osun.

The raids also captured four members of a narcotics conspiracy, including two church leaders, female courier firm employees, and another woman involved in the trafficking of the dangerous opiate fentanyl in Delta state.

The fentanyl cartel bust in Warri, Delta state, comes barely a month after two members of another syndicate, Odoh Collins Oguejiofor and Oliver Chigozie Uzoma, were apprehended in Anambra State’s Ogbogwu market.

In Warri, Delta state, two officials of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries (aka Mercy City Church) were detained.

Other NDLEA agents stopped a Toyota Hilux truck in Adamawa State, which had 544 compressed cannabis sativa bricks weighing 408kg stashed in a fake compartment.

Segun Odeyemi was nabbed in Lagos by NDLEA agents while trafficking 89 huge bags of skunk weighing a total of 3,842kg.

An abandoned J5 Peugeot bus containing bundles of fresh pepper was discovered along the Akure-Ilesa motorway in Osun state.

Ogun state operatives stormed a skucchies facility in Ajaka Sagamu, arresting Adekunle Adekola. The arrests and seizures have been impressive, and the Agency’s Chairman/CEO, Brig.

Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa, congratulated the team of NDLEA agents following the fentanyl opioid syndicate in Nigeria on their success. He urged them and their fellow citizens around the country to keep striving to rid the country of substance misuse and illicit drug trafficking.
