Afghanistan: Joe Biden reveals agreement with Taliban leadership

President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has revealed agreement with the Taliban before the withdrawal of US and allies’ troops from Afghanistan.

The President also said that they are considering “every opportunity” to get “folks to the airport”.

Addressing the press on Friday, the US President repeated that they’ve been in “constant contact with the Taliban leadership” – in Doha and Kabul.

Biden said that the Taliban “are letting people through with American passports”.

According to him, “We have an agreement that they will let us pass through the checkpoints – that the Taliban control – let Americans through.”

Recall that the Taliban in Afghanistan finally took over Kabul after 20 years of armed struggle and will henceforth form the government as the president has already fled to the United Arab Emirates.
