Jurrien Timber is a 22-year-old Ajax defender who has been linked to a reunion with Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United.

Ten Hag is a big fan of the 22-year-old and has already been lyrical about him, making no secret of his ambition to get the young Dutch international to the Premier League.

Arsenal is now the frontrunner to recruit Timber, much to the chagrin of many at the top of Manchester United. The runners-up from last season have made their initial proposal, which is estimated to be worth £30 million, but Ajax has quickly rejected that first bid and warned the Gunners that they will need at least £50 million before allowing Timber to go.
