Tricky Tee lost Richard to the wreckless Police patrol

Richard, Tricky Tee’s childhood friend died on a hot chase by the Shagamu police patrol who ended his life untimely.

Richard Wetkos Dayon, a Plateau State born, an aspiring musician and keyboardist, who happens to be a childhood friend to an ex-housemate of this recently concluded Big Brother Naija, Tricky Tee, died under the patrol van of the Shagamu police patrol along the Agric BRT lane heading to Aruna area on Sunday 27th September 2020 between the hour of 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Richard have been a great campaigner to Tricky Tee while he was still in the house before he was evicted, but it was so painful that while he was returning from church, heading home to Odogunyan as he board bike at Agric, heading to Ikorodu Garage before the Shagamu police patrol van chose to chase the motorcycle he boarded.

Due to the fear in the heart of the motorcyclist, he increased his speed than usual just to escape from the police, but the police never stopped chasing until Richard fell off from the motorcycle along Aruna bus stop in Ikorodu and the police patrol van ran through him, leaving his living self to become a corpse within the shortest time.

It was meant to be a day to celebrate the winner of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija, but the Shagamu Police District officers made it a day of trauma and mourning for the family of the deceased.

We pray that his innocent soul rest in perfect peace as he left his family and promising career too soon.

According to eyewitness, they accounted that Richard was on a motorcycle heading towards the Ikorodu from the Ketu lane, before the Shagamu Police Division patrol van took chase after his motorcycle. The motorcyclist was trying to escape from their chase because he can’t afford to lose his motorcycle to the police as they will collect it from him, and that the motorcycle was his only source of income.

Another eyewitness accounted that the Police patrol van chose to chase the motorcycle because he was on the BRT lane, but that she never expected that the Police would go to such length to take the life of an innocent passenger.

Another motorcyclist who happened to be on the scene said, “This is getting too much by our government as they are giving these Police the power to oppress them because of their uniform”. He said further that this is how they run after them to take their motorcycle from them and never give them back, as the Police will take their motorcycles and sell it in another state, leaving them hopeless.
