JUST IN: Fuel tanker on fire on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A fuel-laden tanker has exploded at Kara end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Nation leant the tanker caught fire around 1 am on Saturday.

There is a standstill outward Lagos on the ever-busy expressway as vehicles have been trapped for hours.

Many motorists traveling out of Lagos were held in traffic.

Our reporter who stumbled on the incident, observed that some vehicles had been trapped in the inferno.

Some motorists have also resorted to driving against traffic in order to avoid gridlock.
