Iwobi was stretchered off in the 51st minute of Everton’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United last week, and he faces a short spell on the sidelines

Everton have revealed that Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi suffered an ankle ligament injury in their 3-1 loss to Manchester United last week, and he will be out of action for three weeks.

Iwobi had to be stretchered off early in the second half of Everton’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United after he went down off a tackle from Tyrell Malacia.

Judging by the way he twisted his ankle, there were initial fears that his injury would be long-term.
