#EdoDecides2020: PDP Governors vow not to leave Benin after Police seige, reveal next move
Governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have sworn not to depart Benin City, Edo state following a siege on their hotel by a number of policemen on Friday night.
It will likely be recalled that Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike raised alarm via Twitter last night that the hotel he was residing in along with other PDP governors had been surrounded by over 300 police officers.
In an emergency press conference on Saturday in Abuja, the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus alleged that Security outfits were harassing and threatening the lives of its Governors who are currently in Benin.

“Security agents were detailed to surround the lodging of our governors to harass and intimidate them.”
He added that APC governors including the governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje; his Imo State counterpart, Hope Uzodimma as well as the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, were left free in the comfort of the GRA, Benin residence of Comrade Oshiomhole.
He revealed that every attempt to intimidate members of the party will be resisted.
