Arsenal’s Daniel Ballard is set to finalize a loan deal at Millwall

Arsenal youth defender Daniel Ballard is set to spend another season away from the

club with a host of Championship clubs interested in him.

NSL Leanrt, Millwall is already in advanced talks to sign Daniel Ballard.

Ballard,21 hugely impressed at Blackpool in the English third division last

year. He was an instrumental part of the team that went on to get promoted to the

Championship.

His development will now continue at a better league and in a better team, who

finished 11^th in England’s second-tier league.

The Lions were not the only ones who were fighting for Ballard’s signature. Some of

the top half teams from Championship as well as Blackpool showed great interest.

But it now looks like the 21-year-old will be plying his trade at The Den next

campaign.

The center-back made 30 appearances across all competitions, including 27 starts.

Tellingly, Critchley named Ballard in his starting XI in all three of Blackpool’s play-

off fixtures.

However, The Gunners are looking to strengthen a central defense that already

includes  Gabriel Magalhaes, Pablo Mari, Rob Holding, and William Saliba.

Talks are ongoing with Brighton defender Ben White over a move that could be worth
